ActionCOACH Ilminster presents… The Interview Series!

Over the next few weeks we will be interviewing local South West business owners, so that we can get to know both them and their businesses. In times like these we need to stick together!

This week we sat down with Tim Northcott from OfficeWyse

OfficeWyse has been trading on Princes Street since 2004, and have extensive experience in the Printer, Cartridge and Stationery market.

We asked Tim a few questions about his business and himself and here is what he had to say…

  1. Tell us about yourself and why you went into this business?

Most of my life I have been in business for myself. From fence contracting in NZ to a dairy farm. After returning to the UK and running a dairy farm, I changed to sales with British Gas. Then buying a Cartridge franchise, eventually going independent, increasing our ranges to become Yeovil’s premier office supplies company 16 years later.

  1. What has the Lockdown and Covid-19 taught you?

As the staff have been furloughed until August, I was in the position of running a one man band again with a little support. Whilst I was happy to get on with it, I realised that I needed to do something different.

  1. What if anything will you do differently post Lockdown?

I am embarking on a major upheaval of the business to continue my original plans of growth. Life is different now and we will be doing things very differently from now on.

  1. What is your favourite quote?

“Never, never, never give up!” – Winston Churchill
