This week we sat down with Jan and John Rogers from JR Corporate Health.

We asked Jan and John a few questions about their business and themselves and here is what they had to say…
- Tell us about yourself and why you went into this business?
Having been in business and the health care sector for much of our adult lives, we wanted to use our shared experience to create professional and cost effective services for small to medium sized organisations, who would not otherwise be able to afford to support their staff to this standard.
Jan Rogers (RN. DIP COUNS. MBACP (ACCRED) is a fully qualified Registered Nurse and Accredited Counsellor with over 30 years of experience in the private and public sector. She has extensive experience working in Occupational Health, enabling staff to be proactive about their health and wellbeing through access to counselling services and health promotion.
Jan works with managers, enabling them to take a more objective view of difficult situations or relationships and advising employers about mental health and stress related absence.
In situations of trauma, she is an experienced critical incident responder, providing appropriate psychological first aid. As a counsellor, Jan also works with individuals and couples.
John Rogers MCMI has a proven track record in a variety of leadership roles. He has successfully developed profitable international retail organisations. He has created a successful Domiciliary Care business that was awarded “Best Independent Provider” status.
John has led a unique organisation providing an essential interface between Regional Government Office and providers of Homeless Services and inaugurated an acclaimed service providing support to those seeking asylum. He has provided sensitive and highly valued leadership as Rector of a large suburban Parish in the South of England.
As a Board Member, John’s contribution to the development of Healthwatch Reading was greatly appreciated.
- What has the Lockdown and Covid-19 taught you?
Even in the most challenging of times, the human spirit can adapt and a sense of compassion can unite us for the benefit of all.
- What if anything will you do differently post Lockdown?
Tread more carefully on the earth and continue to work for the good of all.
